- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine pineapple juice and bourbon. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Stir to combine.
- Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and let it cool. The sauce will thicken more as it cools.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Enjoy with your favorite grilled meats!

- For a smokier flavor, use smoked paprika or add a dash of liquid smoke.
