Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant and just beginning to turn golden.
  3. Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Continue to cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  5. Allow the garlic sauce to cool slightly before using it as a pizza sauce.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can become bitter.
